Focus has always been my number one problem. Because lack of focus leads to procrastination, and procrastination leads nowhere. For years I had been trying to create a business online. I had been marginally successful when I started, I guess enough to keep me going, but not enough to allow me to create the life style I wanted.
So I kept working at it like a hobby. Once I started approaching my online business like a business I noticed changes. Positive changes.

We all get bombarded with new products, concepts and ideas. Unfortunately, many of us aren't ready for the new List Building automation tool or the affiliate website authoring automation. Often what happens, is that we purchase this new toy with the hopes of it helping us achieve our financial goals. I believe the only real way to build a business online is to do three things:

- Own Your own Products
- Use Affiliate Offers To Supplement Your Income.

Persistency Pays?
I've always had a fascination to be in business for myself. As a result, I spent my free time checking out business opportunities and "Work At Home" opportunities. I experimented with a few and was a complete failure. That was back in 2000. In 2003 I had a life changing event. I was laid off as the VP of Inbound Operations. My salary was quite nice, however, the truth was I wasn't going to have it any longer. That event turned out to be the best thing that has ever happened to me. Now I was in a position to test new ideas out and I turned to the Internet to do that.

Listen to a guy that knows how hard it is when you know nothing about internet marketing. I didn't let that defeat me, and you shouldn't too. But you have to have the desire.
