List Building Strategies – 4 Fantastic Strategies to Make the Most Bucks From a List

The great thing about owning a list is not just the autopilot income that you get every month but also that you can use a few new list building strategies that will add even more money to your bottom line. In this article, I’ll share with you four of the strategies that I personally use to help me sit back at the beach sipping on mojitos.

Strategy 1 – Don’t Be Afraid To Promote To Your List

Some people are afraid to promote to their list. They complain that they are not making enough money and then I join their list and see only one promotional email per week. Are you kidding me?

To make good money from a list, don’t be afraid to send at least two promotional emails to them. Of course, you need to send them content too so send them at least one piece of no-sell content for every promo email you send. And don’t be afraid to put an affiliate link at the bottom of your content emails either!

Strategy 2 – Spread Your Free Report Everywhere

Don’t be afraid to spread around your free report than you offer to your list. I especially suggest the document storage websites like Scribd and Docstoc.

If you put a link to your newsletter and your free report is excellent then people will sign up anyway to learn more.

I also suggest putting your newsletters on there too with a link at the bottom of each explaining how to sign up for more.

Strategy 3 – Have A Dedicated “Squeeze Page”

Although you can get email leads from having a small opt-in box in the sidebar of a regular niche content site, you are far better funneling your prospects into a single page “squeeze page” format.

This way you leave the reader with no distractions except the headline and bullet points you want to show them to convince them to sign up.

Strategy 4 – Writers Block

If you suffer from writers block when it comes to your newsletter, don’t worry about it – many of us do. You can do two things.

Either you can only write when you can only give good content. But this means that people may forget about you if you go a month or two between mailings. If you have a high level of trust with your readers then this strategy can definitely work.

Or you can have a good list of resources from which to make your newsletter. RSS feeds are a great way to keep up to date. I recommend using google.com/ig to keep all your feeds in one place which will make it easier for you to use them as reference material for your mail shots.
